So many fun things to do at Little Bear Lake, so little time. Little Bear Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Hay Press Campground is a tremendous local campground, and do take a hike on the Rim Trail. Through the months of summer highs here at Little Bear Lake reach the 90's while nighttime lows are typically in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and through       the dark hours in the wintertime at Little Bear Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. This spot, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Rodeway Inn Grand Junction is a magnificent site to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Little Bear Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Divide Forks Campground is a nice place for that. Little Bear Lake is a location that is relatively waterless typically; the month of                  August is the wettest with most of the rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. Craig Reservoir Number 1 is a nearby lake that you could explore, and Bear Creek is near Little Bear Lake and is always a delight to visit. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Little Bear Lake, you could also visit wonderful Big Pond, and Gill Meadows is a brilliant site to stretch your legs a bit. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, not sufficient time. There's whitewater on Dolores River for all you adrenaline kick people, and the Gill Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Colorado River next to Little Bear Lake.
