Little Bear Lake is pretty dried up frequently; the month with most of the rain is August, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Blanca Basin is a gorgeous site any time of year, and nice hiking is available along the Huerfano Trail. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Through the summertime months here at Little Bear Lake, high temperatures typically reach the       80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Little Bear Lake. Camping at Blanca RV Park is always a magnificent experience, and if you need a location to stay Alamosa-Days Inn is a tremendous choice. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has to offer. The summit of Ellingwood Point can be spotted from                  Little Bear Lake.
