Rocky Mountain National Park is a great national park, and if you came for an overnight stay Glacier Basin Campground is a perfect place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Boulder Creek in the neighborhood of Lion Lake Number 2; Lion Lake Number 1 is a nearby lake that you could explore. High temperatures at Lion Lake Number 2 through the days of summer are in the                  70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Lion Lake Number 2 dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Marys Lake Lodge is a fine location to get some rest, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Bluebird Lake Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more fun things to do in the Front Range. Fan Falls is always fun to check out, and there's whitewater on Saint Vrain Creek - North for all you adrenaline junkies. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Front Range. The Keyhole is a brilliant location to look at, and Longs Peak Campground is a nice local campground. Lion Lake Number 2 is one of the lakes here in the Front Range. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent nearby hotel is Peak To Peak Lodge Inc., and one of the overriding traits of the surroundings of Lion Lake Number 2 is Mount Alice. Lion Lake Number 2 gets very little rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is November. Just can't get enough of the Front Range.
