Lion Lake Number 1 is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Saint Vrain Creek - North, and the Long Peak Trail offers hiking at its best. It's always perfect to stop at Fan Falls, and if you've had enough of Lion Lake Number 1, Black Lake is close by. Be careful coming to the Front Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. Skiing at Berthoud Pass is one of those things you just have to do, and there's

| | good hiking along the Lion Lake Trail. Paddling on Boulder Creek is so much fun, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lion Lake Number 1; Bluebird Lake Trail is a tremendous local trail. What a location this is for outdoors people. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff near Lion Lake Number 1. Longs Peak Campground is a fine campground here, and a great spot to have a look at is The Keyhole. That right there is loads of amusing stuff | |

lake in the Front Range. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Lion Lake Number 1, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Lion Lake Number 1 through the wintertime regularly sink into the 0's.
