Lakes are perfect; Burning Mine Reservoir is a lake that's near Lincoln Reservoir; after a long day outdoors Blue Mountain Inn and Suites is a perfect location to spend a night or two. Don't leave Lincoln Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Dragon Douglas Trail. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Lincoln Reservoir. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Lincoln Reservoir is pretty dried up ordinarily; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You're probably interested in lakes, Fossil Reservoir is one of those close by; get wet paddling on Yampa River. Visiting Dinosaur National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and whitewater paddling is great on White River. | |
