hiking is available along the Timberline Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Lily Pond. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's with temperatures
at Lily Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
Camping at Mosca Campground is always a great experience, and a lake nearby is Pothole Reservoir Number 1. It is very dried out here at Lily Pond mostly; most of the rain falls throughout August, and February on the other hand is the driest.

 | We've camped here since our now 40ish childrlen were young. They are now taking their children there. Mosca is beautiful both to the eye and the heart. It is a little more difficult now that there is no potable water, but one can use lake water for dishes, and must bring in drinking and cooking water.Fishing is great - the deer put on a show eve4ry night. The camp hostess, Mary, is there is to help you with problems, and to give great advice.Other than the water problem, this is the greatest camp ground I've ever occupied!... |
