Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Arkansas River, and there are plenty of folks from Silverthorne here. This lake is so wonderful. Heaton Campground is a nice campground nearby, and hiking along the Lily Pad Lake Trail is splendid       fun. Lily Pad Lake is not the only spot close by, Rainbow Lake is a close by lake, and nearby Ryan Gulch is a good site to go. From Lily Pad Lake you obtain a magnificent view of Royal Mountain; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Wheeler Dillion Trail. All the outdoors entertaining things near Lily Pad Lake will keep you coming back time and again. Going for a hike along the Mesa-Cortina Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty                  of this vicinity; if you need a site to stay Snowshoe Motel is a perfect choice. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Breckenridge are so inviting nobody can resist, and don't forget to take a great little journey to North Tenmile Creek. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Lily Pad Lake is excellent! A lake close by is Bills Ranch Lake, and an afternoon playing golf at Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is always a joy. High temperatures at Lily Pad Lake through the months of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lily Pad Lake are in the 0's.
