Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Heaton Campground is a nice local campground; Breckenridge is a very popular ski area close by. Throughout the warm months here at Lily Pad Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, usually in the 40's. Daytime highs       through the wintertime are in the 20's while Lily Pad Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. An afternoon playing golf at Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is always a bliss; you can hit the slopes at Copper Mountain in close proximity. Gold Pan Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and a fine nearby hotel is Alpine Inn. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Arkansas River, and after a long day outdoors Snowshoe                  Motel is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Mesa-Cortina Trail, and some of the water close by flows, like North Tenmile Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Bills Ranch Lake, and Ryan Gulch is a great spot to stop by. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Lily Pad Lake. Going for a hike along the Wheeler Dillion Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and there's whitewater on Tenmile Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. Hiking along the Lily Pad Lake Trail is magnificent fun; from Lily Pad Lake you get a delightful panorama of Royal Mountain.
