Getting to Moon Gulch from Leyden Lake is trouble-free, and The Prospect RV Park is a great local campground. Around Leyden Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; all through May this area sees the most rain while January is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Applewood Golf Course not far from Leyden Lake, and do stop by Great Western Reservoir, it's       a lovely lake. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Go for a hike on the Mesa Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Clear Creek. You don’t have to go far from Leyden Lake to spot the water at Leyden Dam, and going for a hike on the Beaver Brook Trail is always a perfect adventure. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Leyden Lake has it all. If you came for an overnight stay Prospect RV Park is a wonderful                  place to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Oakwood at Stonegate. Drury Inn And Suites Houston The Woodlands is a splendid place to get some rest, and a brilliant spot nearby is Barbara Gulch. During the summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Leyden Lake. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Leyden Lake fall into the 10's. Good hiking is available along the Bear Peak Trail, and lots of folks from Boulder come here. This lake is so wonderful.
