     Lakes? Sure, Columbine Lake is around here, and Bridal Veil Dam is a beautiful spot, beyond doubt worth checking out. Telluride has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff, and a pleasant trip to Bridal Veil Basin is a great way to spend an afternoon. Lewis Lake gets very little rain; during July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is June. Lewis Lake is right by the Deep Creek Trail, and if the weather is beautiful, you get a good sight of La  
   Junta Peak from Lewis Lake.
Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Lewis Lake rules! A delightful place to camp here at Lewis Lake is Molas Lake Park; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Lewis Lake. If you need a location to stay The Ice House Lodge is a great choice; the Greyhound Pack Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Mineral Creek - South for all you adrenaline kick people;
 
               Telluride Ski & Golf Club is a great golf course close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lewis Lake; Brooklyn Trail is a pleasant local trail; close by you stumble on Ophir Pass which is a good place to check out. Get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Lime Creek; Silverton is a very popular ski area close by. Summertime highs at Lewis Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lewis Lake.
All the outdoors cool things close to Lewis Lake will keep you coming back over and over. A wonderful close by hotel is Camel's Garden, and camping at South Mineral Campground is always a great experience.
