The beauty of Lewis Lake attracts many people from all around. Go for a hike on the Brooklyn Trail; there are some good whitewater spots on Lime Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the neighborhood of Lewis Lake. Ophir Pass is a great place to spend some time at, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Bullion King Lake is just a very short distance away.

Telluride Ski & Golf Club is a golf course near Lewis Lake, and there's some interesting stuff to see at Bridal Veil Dam close to Lewis Lake. Summertime highs at Lewis Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's with night lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Lewis Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter | |

Dry warm beds await you at Ice House Lodge; you can stay the night at Molas Lake Park. The peak of La Junta Peak can be made out from Lewis Lake; naturally, this is a good vicinity for folks who like lakes, Silver Lake
is a lake around here. Lewis Lake is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, South Mineral Campground is a pleasant spot to camp nearby, and if you need a spot to stay Camels Garden is a fine choice.
Lewis Lake gets very
little rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout July, and June on the other hand is the driest. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A visit to Bridal Veil Basin rejuvenates the soul, and great hiking is available
along the Deep Creek Trail. Gotta ski! Silverton is a nice site to do that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Mineral Creek - South.
