    The beauty of Lewis Lake is reason enough to stop by. Summertime highs at Lewis Lake typically tend to be in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Lewis Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things next to Lewis Lake. While you're here at Lewis Lake it's a nice idea to stop by Bridal Veil Basin, and hiking along the Deep Creek Trail is magnificent fun.  
   This lake is so wonderful. An attention-grabbing thing to have a look at in close proximity to Lewis Lake is Bridal Veil Dam, and if you come at the right time of year, Mineral Creek - South offers some good whitewater.
This lake is so wonderful. Telluride Ski & Golf Club is a golf course close to Lewis Lake, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Lime Creek. A lake close by is Columbine Lake, and Lewis Lake is right by the Greyhound Pack Trail. Near
 
               Lewis Lake you discover Ophir Pass which is a pleasant spot to take a look at; South Mineral Campground is a great local campground.
You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Lewis Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and everybody close by loves skiing at Telluride. Camels Garden is a magnificent location to get some rest, and Lewis Lake is a perfect spot to visit for more than one day, Molas Lake Park is a perfect spot to camp nearby. The Brooklyn Trail offers hiking at its best; a delightful nearby hotel is Ice House Lodge.
Lewis Lake gets very little rain; July is the wettest month with most rain while June is usually the driest month. The slopes of Silverton are so inviting nobody can resist, and here at Lewis Lake you can see La Junta Peak.
