A splendid close by hotel is Days Inn; beautiful scenery and good skiing is what you get at Sunlight Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lewis Lake you come across the Blue Creek Trail which is a good hiking trail, and       of course Potato Bill Creek is a striking stream that is worth going to. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Camping at Janeway Campground is always a wonderful experience, and going for a hike on the Munsey Ruby Stock Driveway is always a great adventure. High temperatures at Lewis Lake all through the summer months are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and after                  the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lewis Lake descend into the 0's. River Valley Ranch Golf Club is a magnificent golf course nearby, and get drenched paddling on Crystal River. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Thomas Reservoir Number 2, and Thomas Dam is not far at all from Lewis Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
