There's so much to do here at Left Hand Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Mitchell Creek Campground is a perfect site for that, and from Left Hand Reservoir you obtain a great panorama of Niwot Mountain. This place is peerless, just check out all the fun things to do near Left Hand Reservoir. So much cool stuff to do here in the Front Range, too nice to be true.       In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder Creek; glorious skiing awaits you at Winter Park. ; the month with most of the rain is August while February is regularly the driest month. Left Hand Reservoir is located in the Front Range. Going for a hike on the Waldrop North Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and why not go to Lefthand Park Dam since you're here. Lefthand Park Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to, and if you have the time, Rocky Mountain National Park is a national park worth a visit. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Left Hand Reservoir reach the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Left Hand Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
