Whitewater paddling is good on San Miguel River, and Smokehouse Campground is a wonderful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Escalante Creek; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Cottonwood Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Stay the night at Antone Spring Campground,       and since you're here you can take a hike along the Monitor Mesa Trail. Lee Reservoirs is pretty arid usually; October is the month that gets the most rain, and June is when it's the driest. Best Western Sundance is a delightful location to get some rest, and if you get bored of Lee Reservoirs you could also explore nearby Big Monitor Reservoir Number 1. At Lee Reservoirs through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the                  50's. Through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Lee Reservoirs. This lake is so wonderful. All the outdoors amusing things in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains will keep you coming back many times. Middle Monitor Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out, and Middle Monitor Dam is not far at all from Lee Reservoirs. Lee Reservoirs is located in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
