     Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Rough Canyon Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Hermosa Creek. Cascade Village is a pleasant location to get some rest; the skiing at Hesperus Ski Center is glorious. Park Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Schoolhouse Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Burro Bridge Campground is a good place to do that. There's so much to do  
   here at Last Chance Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Priest Gulch Campground and RV is a brilliant location for that.
This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is nice here at Last Chance Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Little Bear Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts. The yearly rainfall here at Last Chance Reservoir is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one
 
               with the most rain; the driest of the months is June.
If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Last Chance Reservoir. A spree to East Canyon is always fun, and get dripping wet paddling on Dolores River. Visit Roaring Forks Creek while you're here at Last Chance Reservoir, and while you're here, you could also go to picturesque Point Reservoir. All through the warm days of summer at Last Chance Reservoir highs are frequently in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Last Chance Reservoir are in the 0's.
