Larson Reservoir gets very little precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Pat Creek is a stream you can check out during your stay, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Sugar Loaf Trail. If only every location       had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. Freeman Campground is a splendid campground nearby; a gorgeous lake like Slater Creek Lake is a pleasant location to stop by. High temperatures at Larson Reservoir during the long summer days are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Larson Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.                  After a long day outdoors Elk Run Inn is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and do have a look at Butter Lake, it's a beautiful lake. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Park Range.
