This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Man, is there loads of fun stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Going for a hike on the Fall Creek Trail is always a great adventure, and you can stay the night at Henson Creek RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. There is a fine hiking trail close to       Larson Lakes called the Ridge Stock Driveway; Henson Creek is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Larson Lakes highs are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. During the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Larson Lakes dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Comfort Inn Ouray is a perfect site to get some rest, and while you're                  here, you could also explore charming Hay Lake. So many amusing things to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, too good to be true. Near Larson Lakes you find the Big Blue Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
