Cann Hill is a peak       you can catch a sight of from Lambert Reservoir, and Rainbow Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. This lake is so wonderful. Since you're here at Lambert Reservoir why not explore Lehigh Gulch, and on a great day you can take a hike along the South Manitou Park Trail. Lambert Reservoir is a great place to visit for more than one day, Rock Springs Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and the Missouri Gulch Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. Lambert Reservoir is pretty dry generally; throughout May this area sees the most rain while January is ordinarily the driest month. Stay the night at Chatfield; a magnificent close by hotel is Oakwood at Legacy at Highlands Ranch. This lake is so wonderful.
