This lake is one of the great places here in the Escalante Breaks. Not much rainfall falls here at The Lake; September is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Escalante Breaks has to offer. Don't forget to take a wonderful little trip to Left Fork Lake Creek, and on a good day you can       take a hike along the Ute Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Dragon Douglas Trail is a great hiking trail right next door to The Lake. A journey to Colorado National Monument is worthwhile, and there's whitewater on White River for all you thrill seekers. Summertime highs at The Lake commonly tend to be in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
