The Escalante Breaks rocks! Lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Little Horse Reservoir next to The Lake, and there are good sites to discover along the Ute Trail. For the duration of the long summer days here at The Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at       The Lake are in the 0's. Around The Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; September is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Blowdown Water Storage Reservoir is a wonderful lake right next door to The Lake; you can go for a hike on the Dragon Douglas Trail. The Lake is located in the Escalante Breaks. A quick visit to Left Fork Lake Creek near The Lake is a magnificent idea.
