Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Simpatico descend into the 0's. Don't forget to take a delightful little trip to Little Bear Creek; a lake close by is Wommer Reservoir Number 1. So much amusing stuff in the San Juan and Jemez       Mountains, just remarkable. Glide down the rapids of Vallecito Creek in a kayak; from Lake Simpatico you obtain a wonderful vista of Ludwig Mountain. Lake Simpatico is frequently a pretty dried out place; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Canyon Creek offers some great whitewater; if you need a place to stay Lodge at Tamarron                  is a splendid choice. Why not camp at Old Timbers Campground since you're here at Lake Simpatico, and Lake Simpatico is not the only place close by, Vallecito Reservoir is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. During your tour to Lake Simpatico you'll meet some people from Durango for sure. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Lake Simpatico. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway; you might also want to pay a visit to Wommer Draw if you're here at Lake Simpatico. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
