Lake Simpatico is near Wommer Draw which is beyond doubt worth stopping at; if you need a place to stay Lodge at Tamarron is a good choice. During the warm days of summer at Lake Simpatico highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures       at Lake Simpatico plunge into the 0's. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is bountiful here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Canyon Creek, and you'll meet a lot of people from Durango here. There's no way someone can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You can catch a glimpse of Ludwig Mountain from Lake Simpatico; while you're here, you could also pop                  by stunning Wommer Reservoir Number 1. Lake Simpatico is a location that is reasonably arid generally; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is June. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do close to Lake Simpatico. If you came for an overnight stay Old Timbers Campground is a great spot to camp, and Vallecito Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Vallecito Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Riverside RV Park while you're here at Lake Simpatico; dry warm beds await you at Tamarron Resort. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
