If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Colorado River, and a magnificent close by hotel is Summit at SilverCreek. While you're here at Lake Ruby you can take a hike along the Rock Creek Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Ruby has to offer, you can camp at Trail Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Willow Creek       is a brilliant whitewater spot near Lake Ruby; Lake Ruby is a great location to visit for more than one day, Parkview Campground is a great location to camp nearby. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Lake Roslyn; going for a hike along the Willow Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. During the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 70's at Lake Ruby. Summer night lows fall down                  to the 30's.
