After a long day outdoors The Peck House is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and don't leave Lake Quivira without first going for a hike along the James Peak Lake Trail. Lake Quivira is one of the lakes here in the Front Range. While you're here at Lake Quivira, you could also stop at wonderful Silver Lake; paddling on Boulder Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you need       a spot to stay Georgetown Mountain Inn is a great choice, and camping at Shwayder Camp-Temple Emanuel is always a great experience. But wait, there's more to do near Lake Quivira. A delightful location near Lake Quivira is Anchor Gulch, and there's delightful hiking along the South Boulder Creek Trail. You simply must go for the Front Range. Looking for some flowing water? Try Silver Creek; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Quivira; Guinn Mountain                  Ski Trail is a fine local trail. These mountains rock, just explore all the fun stuff to do in the Front Range. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Winter Park is near Lake Quivira, and Fox Mountain is beautiful and can be made out from here. Just can't get enough of Lake Quivira. If you want to stop at some attention-grabbing stuff, stop at Saint Marys Glacier, and Saint Marys Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. Lake Quivira is mostly a quite dehydrated site; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Clear Creek, and the scenery at Saint Marys Lake Dam is beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Mountain Meadow Camp Grounds is a great location to do that, and the skiing at Berthoud Pass is perfect. High temperatures at Lake Quivira throughout the summer are in the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 40's.
