Embassy Suites Denver Aurora is a brilliant location to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Derby Lake is in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lake Mary there are plenty of people from Denver-Aurora; there's whitewater on South Platte River for all you adrenaline junkies. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Golf can be played at Buffalo Run Golf Course, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Ladora Lake Dam.

| | Lake Mary is a location that is pretty waterless mostly; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Barr Lake RV Park is a glorious campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors Drury Inn Denver East is a good place to spend a night or two. If you came for an overnight stay Denver Meadows Mobile Park is a good site to camp. A pleasant visit to Basin F is a great way to spend an afternoon, | |

Rocky Mountain Lake
 | 11 miles away Good fishing here if you are willing to experiment. Limited shoreline access because of the weed structures but those weeds hold good size bass. I have found it easy to catch 10-14 inch largemouth in the open spots with plastic worms and surface lures. I have only fished there four times as of this writing (07/13/2007) but have enjoyed each visit. My best fish so far was a 17'' largemouth caught on a Jitterbug. Take the kids!... |
