Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lake Isabel. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's while Lake Isabel overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Have       a pleasant hiking adventure along the San Carlos Trail, needless to say you could also take a look at Eagle Scout Lake Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Snowslide Trail is splendid fun, and if you've had enough of Lake Isabel, Saint Charles Reservoir is close by. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Going for a hike along the Camp Crockett Trail will let                  you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Florence Canon City A is a nice spot to spend a night or two. So many cool things to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, too pleasant to be true. A perfect nearby hotel is Days Inn Colorado; you must definitely dedicate some time to Simonson Meadow if you're here at Lake Isabel. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Don't forget to take a great little visit to Beaver Creek, and Lake Isabel is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, Ophir Creek Campground is a pleasant spot to camp nearby. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
