Lake Isabel is a fine spot to camp, Ophir Creek Campground is a fine spot; you can take a little trip to Eagle Scout Lake Dam since you're here at Lake Isabel. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. So many cool things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just remarkable. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Florence. For the duration of the summertime       at Lake Isabel highs are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; nighttime lows at Lake Isabel during the winter typically descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Lake Isabel is good fun, Aspen Acres Campground is a good local campground, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Snowslide Trail. It is very dried up here at Lake Isabel                  regularly; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here; January is the month with the least moisture. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A pleasant tour to Simonson Meadow is a nice way to spend an afternoon; the Camp Crockett Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. So much cool stuff to do here at Lake Isabel, too wonderful to be true. Some of the water close by flows, like Beaver Creek, and after a long day outdoors Colorado City CO Days Inn is a pleasant site to spend a night or two.
