     The beauty of Lake Humphreys attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. There are fine locations to look at along the Highline Trail, and Turret Peak is clearly visible from Lake Humphreys. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Don't leave Lake Humphreys without first going for a hike along the Farmers Creek Trail, and if you're here, you could take a look at Brush  
   Creek. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do close to Lake Humphreys. Lake Humphreys is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Broken Arrow Ranch is a tremendous place to camp nearby; Hunters Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit.
At Lake Humphreys all through the summertime months highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 30's. During the winter highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Lake
 
               Humphreys dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. A great location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Lake Humphreys is Wolf Creek. Humphreys Dam is not far at all from Lake Humphreys, and you can run the rapids of Rio Grande.
That right there is a lot of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. While you're here at Lake Humphreys, you could also stop by charming Hay Press Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Lake Fork National Recreation Trail. Lake Humphreys is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you need a place to stay The Spruce Lodge is a wonderful choice, and Wagon Wheel Springs is an inspiring site to stop at during your stay.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Allington Inn and Suites; you can stay the night at Mining Camp RV Resort. At Lake Humphreys you don’t see much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and June is when it's the driest.
