    Many people like to go to Lake Grant. Lake Grant is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Cement Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground, and after a long day outdoors WestWall Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two. The Trail Riders Trail is a glorious hiking trail in close proximity to Lake Grant, and Crested Butte Mountain Resort is a delightful location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Black Canyon Of The Gunnison  
   National Park is recommended; Crested Butte is clearly visible from Lake Grant.
At Lake Grant you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August; February is the month with the least moisture. During the months of summer at Lake Grant temperatures are frequently in the 70's with night lows in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Lake Grant overnight low temperatures during the winter are in
 
               the-10's. Near Lake Grant you find the Granite Basin Trail which is a great hiking trail, and get drenched paddling on Oh Be Joyful Creek.
Whitewater paddling is good on East River, and going for a hike on the Lowline Trail is always a pleasant adventure. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Lake Grant has to offer. If you came to camp Avery Peak Campground is a great place to do that; you can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Aspen Highlands.
This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Baxter Gulch is always fun, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Irwin Lodge while you're here.
