    If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Lake George. At Lake George through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Lake George temperatures plunge to the-10's. Country Lodge is a brilliant location to get some rest; there are great spots to look at along the Longwater  
   Trail. This spot is unbeatable, just explore all the exciting things to do right next door to Lake George. If time allows, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth visiting, and there's magnificent hiking along the Phantom Creek Trail.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. This lake is so wonderful. An exciting thing to pop by close to Lake George is Lake George Dam, and in the event that you don't mind
 
               getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on South Platte River.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. After a long day outdoors Greenview South Beach is a great place to spend a night or two, and a pretty lake like Lake George Reservoir is a great spot to take a look at. All the outdoors cool things in the Front Range will keep you coming back persistently. Visit Adamans Creek if you're here at Lake George, and don't leave Lake George without first going for a hike along the Hankins Trail. You'll locate a charming lake called Joe Wilson Recreation Reservoir near Lake George. There's so much to do here at Lake George that you need to camp here for a while, Lake George Cabins and RV Park is a wonderful spot for that.
Lake George is a location that is relatively dried out usually; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Arkansas Gulch is a wonderful location to explore in close proximity to Lake George. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake George has to offer, you can camp at Eleven Mile.

Ideal wind conditions make Eleven Mile a popular but not overly crowded destination for sailing, windsurfing and winter ice boating on this wide-open reservoir. Motor boaters and kayakers also find plenty of room to play during the summer months.

Many species of birds reside in or migrate through the park, making for wonderful bird watching prospects. Neighboring park, Spinney Mountain, offers additional opportunities for birding and fishing. Waterfowl hunting chances for a wide variety of ducks are excellent and are available each...

I was disappointed when I realized that canoes are not allowed. But it is very beautiful and a nice place for a simple hike....
Bring your fishing net!!!! I caught a two pound smallmouth off powerbait and reeled it in on 6lb test all the way to the bank and the line snapped as I pulled it up and out of the water because I had no net....
went in July 2007, no bites. Beautiful lake though....

These are large well spaced sites with lots of room., RV:We have 26 electric sites and 6 full hook up sites., PETS:Yes pets are allowed, but cannot be left alone., FIRES:Every site has a fire pit, and picnic table. There are several hiking trails starting in the campground, and lots of open space for a leisurely stroll or games. There are ATV trails and fishing about 20 minutes away.

For your convenience our restrooms, heated showers, and dump station are centrally located by the office, along with the ice machine, and fire wood. We have supplies, and food available in the office/store.

Your pets are welcome to camp with you at no extra cost, but must never be left alone at your campsite. It is your responsibility to pick up after your pets no matter where you walk them.
