Lake Estes is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, K O A Kampgrounds is a pleasant place to camp nearby, and there's some flowing water close by, Black Canyon Creek is a stream you can stop by while here. During the months of summer here at Lake Estes, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in       the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Estes. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Front Range. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Estes. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Estes; Cow Creek Trail is a wonderful local trail; you don’t have to go far from Lake Estes to distinguish the water at Olympus Dam. That right there is plenty of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Front                  Range has it all. If you need a place to stay Lake Shore Lodge is a good choice, and the Lily Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. Be careful coming to the Front Range, you might not ever wanna go home again. You're perhaps keen on lakes, Livingston Lake is one of those nearby; if you're here and you like golf, you can check out Estes Valley Recreation District Estes Park Golf Club. The vista of Mount Olympus from Lake Estes is picturesque; if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Saint Vrain Creek - North. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something in the vicinity of Lake Estes? Gem Lake is around here, and a pleasant spot like Estes Park here at Lake Estes is too delightful to miss. A great location to stop by close to Lake Estes is Dry Gulch; if you're looking for a tremendous journey, Rocky Mountain National Park is relatively near. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Lake Estes has it all. Whitewater paddling is good on Big Thompson River, and Lake Estes Inn and Suites is a fine place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Mary's Lake Campground, and there's tremendous hiking along the Gem Lake Trail.
