A day on the slopes of Steamboat is just what you need; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Muddy Slide Trail. The warmest time of the year
at Lake Creek Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the
winter temperatures at Lake Creek Reservoir dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Howelsen Hill is splendid; camping at Lake Creek Reservoir is good fun, Stagecoach is a good local campground.
What would a
place like Lake Creek Reservoir be without interesting close by marks like Finger Rock, and Lake Creek Reservoir is a fine location to camp, Toponas Creek Campground is a fine location. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this
location. If you need a place to stay Sunburst Condominiums (Vri) is a great choice, and Colorado River is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby.
