If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lake Brennand. The slopes of Aspen Highlands are so inviting noone can resist; you can go for a hike on the Granite Basin Trail. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Lake Brennand, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 30's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Lake Brennand. Oh-be-joyful Creek

This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of East River, and Snodgrass Mountain is lovely and can be spotted from here. This lake is
so wonderful. Camping is available at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, obviously you could also go to Lake Grant if you're here; it's not far at all. Just can't get enough of Lake Brennand. Dry warm beds await you at Eagle's Nest.
If time allows, Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is a national park worth taking a look at, and nearby you hit upon the Trail Riders Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Around Lake Brennand you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February.
