Whitewater paddling is splendid on Rio de los Pinos, and if you need a site to stay Red Bear Inn is a great choice. All through the summer at La Jara Reservoir temperatures are ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while La Jara Reservoir night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's. The scenery       at La Jara Dam in close proximity to La Jara Reservoir is delightful, and Alamosa Campground is a brilliant campground here. This lake is so wonderful. La Jara Reservoir is a rather wet place ordinarily with a great deal of precipitation; the month with most of the snow is March while June is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Notch Trail is good fun; if you crave a little side spree, try Fredd Gulch. The San Juan Mountains                  scenery is always beautiful. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the San Juan Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. Camping at La Jara Reservoir is great fun, Ponderosa Campground is a great local campground, and La Jara Reservoir is right by the Conejos Stock Driveway. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan Mountains. Take a hike on the Spruce Hole Trail, and Conejos River Hostel is a nice place to get some rest. What a place this is for outdoors people.
