Go to La Jara Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. For the period of the summer at La Jara Reservoir highs are ordinarily in the 60's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at La Jara Reservoir dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. snow, and the driest month of the year is June.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Notch Trail; Fredd Gulch is another fine place to explore nearby. Having a good time at La Jara Reservoir is uncomplicated. There's good
hiking along the Conejos Stock Driveway, and paddling on Rio de los Pinos is so much fun. Hiking is a popular thing to do around La Jara Reservoir; Spruce Hole Trail is a nice local trail, and whitewater paddling is good on Conejos River.
