Paddling on Arkansas River is so much fun; Kroenke Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Colt Spring Campground is a pleasant local campground. Kroenke Lake is in the vicinity of Magdalene Gulch which is without doubt worth taking a look at, and the Texas Creek Trail is a good hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Monarch and strap some skis to your feet; you'll       hit upon a wonderful lake called Anglemeyer Lake. Having a pleasant time in the Sawatch Range is simple. A fine close by hotel is Super 8 Buena Vista; since you're here, you could also explore striking Lake Rebecca. Not much precipitation falls here at Kroenke Lake; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. You can see Birthday Peak from Kroenke Lake, and Ski Cooper is a very popular                  ski area nearby. Throughout the summertime months at Kroenke Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's; the overnight is slightly chillier of course, ordinarily in the 30's. Highs throughout the wintertime are regularly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Kroenke Lake. What a place this is for outdoors people. A quick spree to Horn Fork Creek in close proximity to Kroenke Lake is a great idea. There's so much to do here at Kroenke Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hughes Meadow Campground is a pleasant location for that. Kroenke Lake in fact is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Going for a hike on the South Pine Creek Trail is always a great adventure. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Sawatch Range. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Clear Creek, and a pleasant visit to Horn Fork Basin is a glorious way to spend an afternoon.
