There's so much to do here at Kountze Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Prospect RV Park is a       splendid site for that, and the nice people of Denver-Aurora like to hang out nearby. Kountze Lake gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most while January is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Kountze Lake through the winter ordinarily descend into the 10's.
