If you are in Boulder county it's always a good idea to stop by Kossler Lake. Throughout the summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Kossler Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 10's for Kossler Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Bear Peak Trail is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Kossler Lake; camping at Kossler Lake is brilliant

This lake is so wonderful. A nice close by hotel is Alps Boulder Canyon Inn, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Boulder Creek - South. Not far from Kossler Lake you get some splendid water scenery at Kossler Dam, and nearby you hit upon the Green Mountain Trail which is a great hiking trail. Front Range. Going for a hike on the Saddle Rock Trail is always a magnificent adventure; if you haven’t been to Rocky Mountain National Park, you must schedule some time for it since you're here.
There are some tremendous whitewater
spots on Boulder Creek, and a tremendous site is Bummers Gulch. Kossler Lake is a location that is reasonably dried up usually; through May this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is located
in the wonderful Front Range.
And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Kossler Lake. The top of Langridge Dyke is easily seen from Kossler Lake; after a long day outdoors Silver Saddle Motel is a nice location to
spend a night or two. So much cool stuff in the Front Range, just inspiring. You'll meet a lot of folks from Boulder here, and Golden Gate is a splendid campground here.
