Not much precipitation falls here at Konopik Reservoir; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Konopik Reservoir is in close proximity to Cove Lake Dam which is a beautiful spot absolutely worth a visit, and don't leave Konopik Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Oyster Lake Trail. Whitewater       paddling is great on White River - South Fork, and if you've had enough of Konopik Reservoir, Cove Lake Reservoir is nearby. Man, is there loads of entertaining things to do in the neighborhood of Konopik Reservoir. From Konopik Reservoir you get a great sight of Iles Mountain, and going for a hike on the Sleepy Cat Trail is always a tremendous adventure. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Konopik Reservoir has to                  offer, you can camp at Marvine Campground, and White River - North Fork has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Indian Run Campground, and Craig Super 8 Motel is a fine spot to get some rest. During the long summer days at Konopik Reservoir temperatures are mostly in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Konopik Reservoir tend to be in the 0's.
