Beautiful Kite Lake has much to offer visitors. Camping at Kite Lake is good fun, Silver Summit RV Park And Jeep Rentals is a good local campground, and there's whitewater on Vallecito Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Kite Lake is located in the San Juan Mountains. A lake close by is Eldorado Lake, and a brilliant place close by is Hunchback Pass.
This lake is so wonderful. A splendid nearby hotel is Wyman Hotel & Inn, and get your heart pumping

| | on the magnificent whitewater of Mineral Creek - South. So much cool stuff to do here at Kite Lake, too delightful to be true. Silverton Lakes Campground is a great campground here; Hunchback Mountain is clearly visible from Kite Lake. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the San Juan Mountains. Looking for some flowing water? Try Nebo Creek; there are nice locations to explore along the Whitehead Trail.

usually; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most; June is the month with the least moisture. Don't leave Kite Lake without first going for a hike along the Deer Park Trail. This lake is
so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Smedley's Suites is a perfect choice; everyone nearby loves skiing at Kendall Mountain.
So many enjoyable things to do in the San Juan Mountains, not sufficient time. Good hiking is available
along the Brooklyn Trail, and Silverton is a tremendous local ski area. High temperatures at Kite Lake all through the long summer days are in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings
highs down to the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Kite Lake temperatures dip to the 0's.
