Kite Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Carbonate Copper Mountain is a delightful location to get some rest, and a delightful spot to camp here at Kite Lake is Four Mile Campground. Get wet paddling on Arkansas River, and Kite Lake is a place with many visitors from Silverthorne. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. The Limber Grove Trail offers hiking at its best; the skiing at Crested Butte is magnificent.

| | While you're here at Kite Lake, you could also visit charming Lake Emma; a splendid place to stop by nearby is Platte Gulch. This lake is so wonderful. Kite Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Kite Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Breckenridge is pretty near. Kite Lake gets very little rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is October.

The top of Mount Bross is easily seen from Kite Lake, and paddling on Arkansas River is so much fun. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Wheeler Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Copper Mountain Resort. If you fancy the outdoors,
you'll adore Kite Lake.
All through the warm months here at Kite Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 60's, and all through the night it cools down to the 30's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 20's with winter
lows in the 0's overnight here at Kite Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Kite Lake; Wheeler Trail is a great local trail, and Cameron Amphitheatre is a wonderful location here at Kite Lake.
