     This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Grand Junction is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; Lake Canyon is in the neighborhood, and is a fine place. All the outdoors amusing things near King Reservoir Number 3 will keep you coming back persistently. Going for a hike on the Ute Canal Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and needless to say, this is a magnificent neighborhood for folks who like lakes, King Reservoir Number 1 is  
   a lake nearby.
Nearby lakes? Sure, King Reservoir Number 2 is in the vicinity of King Reservoir Number 3, and why not camp at Divide Forks Campground since you're here at King Reservoir Number 3. The Gill Creek Trail is a glorious hiking trail near King Reservoir Number 3; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Colorado River. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, not sufficient time. Rodeway
 
               Inn Grand Junction is a delightful location to get some rest, and there's whitewater on Kannah Creek for all you adrenaline junkies.
King Reservoir Number 3 gets very little precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail right next door to King Reservoir Number 3 called the Cabin Trail, and camping is available at Hay Press Campground. The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
The warmest time of the year at King Reservoir Number 3 arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at King Reservoir Number 3 temperatures fall to the 10's. This site, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things. A spree to Colorado National Monument is recommended, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Grand Junction.
