    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out King Reservoir Number 1. Here at King Reservoir Number 1 you'll in all probability meet some people from Grand Junction, and soar down the rapids of Colorado River in a kayak. Lake Canyon is in the neighborhood of King Reservoir Number 1 and is certainly a good spot to have a look at; Colorado National Monument is a great national park. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up.  
   El Rio Rancho Motel is a good place to get some rest, and hiking along the Serpents Trail is brilliant fun.
This lake is so wonderful. A nice nearby hotel is Prospector Motel, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Cabin Trail. King Reservoir Number 1 is a beautiful lake in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Kannah Creek.

               for a great time. Stay the night at Divide Forks Campground, and as expected, this is a glorious region for folks who like lakes, G H and S Reservoir Number 2 is a lake in close proximity. King Reservoir Number 1 is a location that is quite dried out mostly; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February. Throughout the months of summer highs here at King Reservoir Number 1 get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at King Reservoir Number 1 temperatures dip to the 10's.
All the outdoors entertaining things in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains will keep you coming back many times. Hay Press Campground is a great campground here, and King Reservoir Number 1 is right by the Gill Creek Trail.
