High temperatures at King Reservoir during the summertime months are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at King Reservoir dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Queen Dam close to King Reservoir is beautiful, and dry warm beds await you       at Best Western Cow Palace Inn. If you need a spot to stay Lamar-Days Inn is a great choice. There's so much to do here at King Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Lamar Koa Kampground is a great spot for that. It is very dehydrated here at King Reservoir ordinarily; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest.
