A magnificent site for whitewater paddling near King Lake is Clear Creek - West Fork; why not camp at Buckingham Campground since you're here at King Lake. Mount Epworth is clearly visible from King Lake. All the outdoors entertaining stuff next to King Lake will keep you coming

is available at Fourth of July Campground. Around King Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is located in the wonderful Front Range. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Berthoud Pass and strap some skis to your feet, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the South Boulder Creek Trail. If you need a place
to stay Iron Horse Resort is a great choice, and Skyscraper Dam is not far at all from King Lake.
You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Front Range. You can run the rapids of
Boulder Creek close to King Lake, and going for a hike along the Devils Thumb Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Summer brings highs in the 70's to King Lake; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 20's while King Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's.
