If you are traveling by, why not stop by Kids Pond. This lake is so wonderful. So much amusing stuff to do at Kids Pond, so little time. There's so much to do here at Kids Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Red Mountain RV Park is a brilliant place for that, and there's delightful hiking along the Eaglesmere Trail. Good hiking is available along the Midway Trail; dry warm beds await you at Beaver Creek West Condominiums.
This lake is so wonderful.

| | If you come at the right time of year, Colorado River offers some delightful whitewater, and there are other places here than Kids Pond, for example Way Reservoir. A spree to Beaver Dam Gulch is always fun; don't leave Kids Pond without first going for a hike along the Sheep Drive Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Park Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Blue River; not far from Kids Pond you'll locate | |

Jones Reservoir Number 3 which is a gorgeous lake.
For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Kids Pond get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in
the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Kids Pond. The Park Range scenery is always beautiful. All the outdoors fun things in the Park Range will keep you coming back time and again. You'll need more than a day to explore
everything Kids Pond has to offer, you can camp at Wolford Campground, and why not go to nearby Sheep Creek while you're here at Kids Pond.
Kids Pond gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July; February is when it's the driest.
