There's whitewater on Cache La Poudre River for all you adrenaline people; Big Rainbow Lake is a pleasant lake close by. Kelly Lake is regularly a pretty dehydrated place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January. There are some great whitewater spots on Joe Wright Creek. Lakes? Sure, Jewel Lake is in close proximity. So       much fun stuff in the Medicine Bow Mountains, just tremendous. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Rawah Trail, and Walden Koa Kampground is a great campground nearby. Throughout the summer months at Kelly Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's; the night is fairly cooler of course, mostly in the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Kelly Lake. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to                  do in the neighborhood of Kelly Lake. If you need a site to stay Gateway Inn Restaurant Cnf Ctr is a glorious choice, and do take a hike on the McIntyre Lake Trail. And that's not all the things to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. The North Fork Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is one of the great places here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
