If you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some great whitewater, and South Rawah Peak is painless to spot from Kelly Lake. During the summertime at Kelly Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 30's. High temperatures during the winter       are normally in the 20's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Kelly Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Island Lake, and going for a hike on the North Fork Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is located in the wonderful Medicine Bow Mountains. Not much precipitation falls here at Kelly Lake; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the                  least amount of precipitation. All year is a great time in the Medicine Bow Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn Bighorn Lodge.
