Keeler Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. Keeler Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. That right there is lots of exciting things already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. You'll meet a lot of people from Durango here, and playing golf is lots of fun at Dalton Ranch Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Hesperus Ski Center is a tremendous spot to do that, and float down the rapids of Canyon

Lakes are pleasant; Stratton Lake is a lake that's near Keeler Reservoir, and paddling on Animas River is so much fun. Canyon is a tremendous spot to spend some time at, and good hiking is available along the Circle Trail. A perfect close by hotel is Tamarron Resort, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Durango. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan
and Jemez Mountains for a great time. Why not camp at Haviland Lake Campground while you're here at Keeler Reservoir; you're perhaps interested in lakes, Shalona Lake is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out
Keeler Dam since you're here at Keeler Reservoir; don't leave Keeler Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Highline Trail. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun stuff just keep reading. Bear Creek is a
charming stream that is worth visiting, and there are splendid places to explore along the Goodhope Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Tamarron is a good place to spend a night or two; a
fine location to camp here at Keeler Reservoir is Durango Koa Kampground. From a rainfall point of view Keeler Reservoir is a rather typical spot; most of the rain falls through August; the driest month is June. For the period
of the long summer days, highs generally are in the 70's at Keeler Reservoir. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; night lows during the winter for Keeler Reservoir tend to be in the 0's.
