Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Juniata Reservoir is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Jumbo Reservoir Campground is always a glorious experience, and at Juniata Dam near Juniata Reservoir there are some attention-grabbing things to see. Juniata Reservoir gets very little rain; October is the month that gets the most rain while January is frequently the driest month. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. | | to spend more than a day at, Grand Junction/Clifton KOA is a fine local campground; Juniata Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, Hallenbeck Reservoir is a nearby lake. Juniata Ditch is a beautiful stream that is worth taking a look at, and going for a hike along the Whitewater Basin Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. you at Powderhorn. There are plenty of folks from Grand Junction here at Juniata Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Mesa View Motel is a good place to spend a night or two. Through the summertime here at Juniata Reservoir,
high temperatures mostly get into the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; nighttime lows at Juniata Reservoir throughout the winter frequently fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
You can run the rapids of Kannah Creek next to Juniata Reservoir; dry warm beds await you at Goldenwoods Condo Assn.. Kannah Creek is a perfect whitewater spot next to Juniata Reservoir, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Spring Camp Trail.
