Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the destinations right next door to Junco Lake that are good to go to, and if you come at the right time of year,
Saint Vrain Creek - North offers some good whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Bluebird Lake Trail, and camping is available at Pawnee Lake Campground. Be careful coming to the Front Range, you might not ever
wanna go home again. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Boulder Creek; what would winter be without some skiing at Winter Park.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Junco Lake. Eagles Beak is a delightful
place to have a look at while in the neighborhood, and Bluebird Dam is a location that is right next door to Junco Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Boulder here, and the slopes of Berthoud Pass are
so inviting noone can resist. Junco Lake is a location that is rather dried up regularly; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors,
just come on down to Junco Lake. Don't leave Junco Lake without first going for a hike along the Saint Vrain Glacier Trail; The Cleaver is clearly visible from Junco Lake.
