Gotta ski! Powderhorn is a pleasant place to do that, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Jumbo Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Interesting geology is available here; Spruce Point is near Jumbo Reservoir; don't leave Jumbo Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Godding Eisberry Grade. Lakes are fine; Mesa Lakes is       a lake that's close to Jumbo Reservoir, and going for a hike on the Deep Creek Trail is always a great adventure. Throughout the months of summer here at Jumbo Reservoir, high temperatures commonly reach the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Jumbo Reservoir temperatures drop to the 10's. At Jumbo Reservoir you don’t see much                  rainfall; the month with most of the rain is October while January is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Delta is a delightful choice. Dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge, and there are pleasant locations to discover along the Carson Lake Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Jumbo Reservoir.
