Josephine Lake is not the only place nearby, Strawberry Lakes is a nearby lake, and whitewater paddling
is splendid on Eagle River. If you need a location to stay Hyatt Mountain Lodge is a good choice; the Lake Charles Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Through the days of summer at Josephine Lake highs are regularly in the 80's,
and through the night it cools down to the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Josephine Lake through the winter mostly drop into the 0's.
