If you are in Eagle county it's always a good idea to stop by Josephine Lake. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Sawatch Range. There's tremendous hiking along the Lake Charles Trail, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Fryingpan River. A beautiful lake like Carter Lake in the neighborhood of Josephine Lake is a nice location to visit; there's some flowing water nearby, Carter Creek is a stream

| | you can check out while you're here. So many enjoyable things to do here at Josephine Lake, too delightful to be true. Coffeepot Park is a brilliant place; Eagle River is a great whitewater spot nearby.
Throughout the months of summer highs here at Josephine Lake get into the 80's with night lows in the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Josephine Lake. The Sawatch Range | |

scenery is always beautiful. Josephine Lake gets very little precipitation; through July this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February.
This lake is so wonderful. Ski Cooper has splendid slopes and a friendly staff;
Josephine Lake is a pleasant place to camp, Gold Park Campground is a pleasant place. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Centennial Condominiums is a great spot to spend a night or two; you'll meet a lot of people
from Edwards here. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Josephine Lake; Chapman Trail is a glorious local trail, and Elk Wallow Campground is a delightful campground here.
And if that's not enough there's loads more amusing
stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Beaver Creek, and a tremendous close by hotel is The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. Don't leave Josephine Lake without first going for a hike along the Last Chance Trail.
