Johnson Reservoir is a location that is rather dehydrated mostly; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Johnson Reservoir temperatures are commonly in the 70's. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Johnson       Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Hohnholz Lakes Campground, and if you get bored of Johnson Reservoir you could also take a look at nearby East Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff right next door to Johnson Reservoir. A great location in close proximity to Johnson Reservoir is Pfister Draw, and Johnson Reservoir is right by the Medicine Bow Trail. There's                  no way somebody can get bored here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. The slopes of Snowy Range are so inviting noone can resist. So much exciting stuff to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains, not enough time. If you came for an overnight stay Bosewll Creek Campground is a great spot to camp; why not take a refreshing hike along the Pache Trail. Take a hike on the McIntyre Trail, and why not check out close by Grace Creek while you're here at Johnson Reservoir. Johnson Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Medicine Bow Mountains.
