For the duration of the summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Johnson Reservoir. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Johnson Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. Super 8 Motel - Lakewood/Denver Area is a great place to get some rest, and Lilley Gulch is a good place to stop at. And       if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do close to Johnson Reservoir. The scenery at Johnson Dam in the neighborhood of Johnson Reservoir is pretty, and there are some great whitewater spots on Bear Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Hampton Inn Denver-Southwest/Lakewood is a good choice, and if you came for an overnight stay South Park Mobile Home Park is a great site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. While you're                  here at Johnson Reservoir you can take a hike along the Beaver Brook Trail. Camping is available at Chatfield, and if you come at the right time of year, South Platte River offers some splendid whitewater. Johnson Reservoir is typically a quite dehydrated place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. A golf course near Johnson Reservoir is Raccoon Creek Golf Course, and Johnson Reservoir is not the only site nearby, J B 'B' Grant Reservoir is a nearby lake.
