Good hiking is available along the Fayville Trail. If you came for an overnight stay East Marvine Campground is a good location to camp, and Quality Inn & Suites is a brilliant location to get some rest. Guthrie Lake is a fine lake in the vicinity of Johnson Lake, and why not camp at Marvine Creek Campground since you're here at Johnson Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Johnson Lake, and the night       is a tad colder of course, frequently in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; nighttime lows at Johnson Lake during the wintertime frequently sink into the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Don't leave Johnson Lake without first going for a hike along the Bailey Lake Trail, and paddling on White River - North Fork is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of White River - South Fork in a kayak, and spots                  like Big Park are good to pop by. Not much precipitation falls here at Johnson Lake; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily October, that's the one that rains the most; January is the month with the least moisture.
