The beauty of Lake John is reason enough to stop by. Around Lake John you don’t get a lot of rainfall; during April this area sees the most rain while January is frequently the driest month. A lake nearby is Brands Reservoir, and why not explore nearby Lake Creek since you're here at Lake John. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Grizzly Helena Trail, and Lakeside Campground is a great campground here.

The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Lake John dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Having a great time in the Park Range is trouble-free. This lake is so wonderful.
This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Antlers Inn, and Steamboat is a fine local ski area. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Park Range has to offer. Round Up Motel is a nice place to get
some rest; if you're here you can take a hike along the Ute Pass Trail.
